Overseas-Trained Teacher Programme
STORM provides a route to qualified teacher status (QTS) for teachers who originally qualified as teachers outside of the UK.
You are required to be employed by a school, as an unqualified teacher, and meet the entry requirements.
The programme runs for a minimum of one term and a maximum of three terms, depending on how much support you need to get your qualification. In order to apply for the OTTP with STORM the entry requirements for this programme are:
- an overseas teaching qualification;
- evidence of a UK degree (or equivalent, in which case this may be the same as the overseas teaching qualification);
- GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent) in maths and English and
- GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent) in Science (primary applicants only).
All overseas qualifications must be verified by UK NARIC (www.naric.org.uk).
If you are invited to an interview for the OTT programme with STORM you will be required to present evidence confirming that your qualifications meet the above application requirements at a pre-interview check. You will only be interviewed if you have this evidence.
For an application pack please email vicki@storm-uk.org
Please put OTTP in the subject heading.
